hi.

THIS IS ME, LAUREN DARLING.

STYLE + VALUES

my photography is about capturing all of the most organic, intimate, & joy-filled moments in a creative & authentic way.

my hope is that when my clients look at their final images, they are flooded with all of the best feelings and memories. my goal is for you to love your photos because they capture experiences and memories so genuinely.

in all honesty, i really love humans and believe it is SUCH A GIFT to be able to be a part of and capture some of their most meaningful and genuine moments.

MY PAST FEW YEARS

i have lightly dabbled in photography since high school, but it wasn’t until the beginning of 2019 that i started pursuing it more seriously…..which led to accidentally booking 20+ weddings in 2020…..

in 2019, i also graduated with my master’s degree in clinical social work. i have been working as a mental health therapist since then.  for the first two years, i worked as an intensive in-home therapist for high-risk kids and teens, which i loved a lot.  since early 2021, i have been working as an outpatient therapist with all kinds of people, which i also love a lot.  i also got my clinical license (LCSW) in the summer of 2023.

in 2022, we bought a house (!!!) we then spent the next year completely gutting and renovating it entirely ourselves.  during this season, i took a break from photography for many months until finally starting things back up towards the end of 2023.

+ SOME UNRELATED FACTS ABOUT ME

i’ve learned that i can come across as rather serious when i am doing something that requires focus or thought....but really i am super weird & love to laugh constantly.

i am absolutely terrible at prioritizing photos of my own life.

if there’s a father-daughter dance at your wedding, i will cry....i have never not.

my husband is Nathaniel. we got married in November of 2018, just a year after our first date.

we are currently trapped in Netflix cycle that goes: The Office, new show, Parks n Rec, new show, repeat.

i’ve been cutting my hair myself ever since a terrible haircut in high school.

getting married and having a baby have always been my two favorite things humans ever get to do (so this is a pretty fun job for me).

when i’m not working, i’m probably at a thrift store, doing a random craft project at home, or listening to a psychology-related podcast.

if enneagrams mean anything to you, i am a 7.
